  1. How to install a Reverse Osmosis filter system

    Reverse Osmosis filter system installation

    1.      Unpack contents and indentify the parts.

    2.      Install all the filters to the unit and the RO membrane, lubricate the "O" rings with
non petroleum base lubricant. Tighten by hand, if you need, use plastic spanners provided.

    3.      Install the Unit.

             Unit Installation procedure

             A) Turn water off. (At the main or if there is a valve before the connection, turn this one off)

             B) Unscrew Dishwasher or Cold water tap line.

             C) Using Teflon tape, install 3way connector to the line.

             D) Using tape again, install the ball valve to the 3way connector.

             E) Reconnect dishwasher or cold water tap line.

             F) Connect white tube, to the valve and the filter unit. (Blue connection).

             G) Locate the position you are going to install the faucet. If in the sink, drill a pilot hole (3mm)
and then drill a 12 mm hole. Secure Faucet in place, with washers and nut provided.

             H) Connect the white tube, between, the unit and the faucet. (Green connection).

              I) Install the plastic tap to the tank (using Teflon tape) and then connect it to the system,
using the white tube. (Yellow connection)

            J) Connect the unit to the waste water pipe, using white tube. (Black connection)

    4.     Check all the connections, now you are ready to turn the system on.

    5.     Turn the water on, check for leaks, turn the ball valve on, check for leaks again.
Turn Tank Tap of. Turn faucet on and finally turn the power on.
Water will start to flow out of the faucet, the water will be dark in colour, that's because the filters
are getting washed. let water to flow for 5 -7 minutes.
Now turn the faucet off, tank tap on, the unit is producing purified water. Let the tank to fill,
(The indicator on the display will show "full" and the pump should stop working).
Turn the water off, power off, faucet on. Let the water to drain out from the tank.
Taste the water, if you not happy empty another tank full of water.

    Enjoy using your clean water

  2. How to calculate the rejection percentage of your RO system

Rejection Percentage Calculation with TDS meter

    The Procedure

    1. Fill up a glass of Tap water, take TDS reading (write it down)
    2. Fill up a glass of RO water, take TDS reading.
    3. Use the above formula to calculate ROR%.

    The Formula

    (Twr-ROwr)
    ----------------- x 100 = R%
         Twr

    Twr = Tap water reading
ROwr = Reverse Osmosis water  reading
    R% = Rejection Percentage(%)

Tap water reading minus RO water reading, then divide in by Tap water reading then multiply
by 100. The result is the percentage of membrane rejection.

If  R%, is less than  80% , you need to change RO Membrane.

  3. How to change filter cartridges

    Cartridge replacement

    1.       Turn water supply to the system off

    2.       Turn tank tap (valve) off

    3.       Put a container under the system, to catch any water spillages

    4.       Using the plastic spanner provided, remove the cartridge housing
     by turn it anti-clockwise

    5.       Remove the old cartridge, wash the inside of the housing,
take care not to damage the O-ring

    6.       Unwrap the cartridge and insert it in the housing, replace the housing
     by turning it clockwise

    7.       Tighten by hand (don't use the spanner unless there are leaks)

    8.       Replace the rest of the cartridges (with some carbon cartridges,
take care of the rubber seal, has to be at the top)

    9.       Replace the in-line carbon filter
              a.    Remove the blue plastic locking clips
              b.    With your thumb push the collet in and pull the tube out
              c.     Remove the filter from the plastic holding clips
              d.    Install the new filter in the holding clips
              e.    Insert tube at both ends of the filter, push the tube in about 5mm,
pull the tube back and push it in until bottoms out.

    10.   You are almost there, turn the water on and check for leaks, if everything
is fine, turn the tank tap on and drain the tank.

    11.   Let the tank fill again and empty

You just completed the filter change

    qf1_348
Cut the tube square and push past the O-ring til the tube stop.

     qf2_346
    Tube is secured in position.
